When Should You Close Your Pool for the Year?

      It's that time of year again when the nights are starting to get cooler, the days are getting shorter, and it is harder to keep the temperature of your pool up. What you may not know, however, is that it isn't time to pack up your swim gear and close down the pool for the season just yet.      One of the biggest mistakes you can make as a pool owner is closing your pool too early. This is because the chemicals that you use to help preserve your pool over the winter are not meant to get hot. If there are still hot days on the forecast then the chemicals in your pool will be consumed much earlier causing issues when you go to reopen your pool next season.
