Because algae thrive in temperatures of 65 degrees+, March is the best month to open your pool. So, how can you take care of your pool this spring? Here are seven steps:  1. Check the pool for signs of damage.  Even if your pool was covered in the winter, it's possible that severe weather could have caused cracks or other significant wear and tear. Algae Buildups One easy sign that it's time to get your hot tub serviced is algae buildup. There could be a couple reasons why this is happening. First, your hot tub may not be filtering and cycling water properly. On the other hand, you may just need to switch up some chemicals and help kill the algae.
